Progress for my project

After creating my story board in class, I have a really good picture of what my story is going to entail. So far, I have sent out a mass e-mail to my address book asking if anyone has had experiences with skin cancer and whether or not they would want to talk to me or be interviewed. I heard back from a couple of people and have plans to meet with them later in the week and early next week to interview them about their stories. During the interviews I plan to record sound, take pictures of them and hopefully get some video. Also, I contacted both Northeast Dermatology in Portsmouth and Dermatologist, Dr. Campbell, in Dover to speak with me about the risks and dangers of skin care. I also plan on recording sound, taking pictures and recording video with them.

Today, I will be taking some pictures of Perfect Tan and Hair Excitement in Durham. I am hoping to get pictures of all of the tanning beds and booths, employees, customers, lotions, risk posters and anything else that seems interesting. Hopefully I will be able to photograph some customers in the tanning beds or spray tan booths. Also, if I can I am going to test out some sound in the tanning salons to see if any would work for a story.

All of my background research is done and I have questions ready for my interviews I just need to set final times to meet with my subjects!
